Vista RC-1 64-bit won't do an upgrade install over MCE2004/2005 . At least I've never been able to do one. It might do it for 32-bit or it may be that since MCE2004/2005 is OEM only software that that might be the reason it won't upgrade. All Vista Beta/pre-release versions have a timeout of May 2007.
